Celia Toschi was born in Sao Paulo , Brazil
and moved to the United States in 2000. She
exhibited and artistic talent from a young age,
absorbing much from classes and private
lessons. By the time she was eighteen, she was
teaching painting full-time. In the following
years, marriage and three children occupied
most of her time- leaving little for artistic
expression. Until she moved to the United States
and found herself behind a canvas once more.

Celia draws her inspiration from dreams and
her life, as well as letting her pencil guided her
into the unkown. "Nobody tells me what to do;
I know how to this. Nobody needs to tell me how
to do it; there are no rules. When I sit here I
look and I think, and I question myself about
what happens around me. . ."
